The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is the country’s leading institution concerned with floundering 9/11, documenting its outcome, and testing its continuing importance. Valuing those who were killed in the 2001 and 1993 attacks is at the core of our mission. Situated at the World Trade Center in New York City, the 9/11 Memorial Museum narrates the story of 9/11 via media, actions, and a collection of monumental and genuine artifacts, introducing the visitors with personal tales of loss, recuperation, and hope. As a monument to human decorum, courage, and forfeit, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum respects approximately 3,000 people killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993, identifies the bravery of those who survived, and salutes those who endangered their lives to help others.
